Stivali New York is a women’s leather footwear brand designing in Brooklyn and handcrafting in a family-run atelier in Colombia. We are second-generation shoemakers using traditional techniques and premium leather.

Stivali is the Italian word for boots, a nod to the Italian craftsmanship that inspired our design language and the leatherworking tradition our atelier carries forward.

Co-founders Lina Cristancho and Louis Guarin launched Stivali New York, bringing together their Colombian family heritage in leatherwork with a modern New York design sensibility.

Our Colombia atelier has been crafting leather footwear for about three decades. Stivali New York represents the second generation of the family carrying the craft forward.

Colombia has one of Latin America’s richest leatherworking traditions. Our atelier combines generational expertise, premium Colombian leather, and ethical working conditions, something mass production cannot replicate.

Our collections begin on pre-order so we understand real demand before our atelier begins production. It’s a slower, more intentional way of crafting products; one that avoids overproduction by design, not afterthought.

For our DTC releases, we craft limited collections throughout the year and open pre-order on new drops so customers can reserve pairs before production begins. Choosing pre-order also unlocks early-access pricing, a thank-you for shopping intentionally. 

For wholesale partners, every order is a pre-order: buyers place their POs, and then our atelier crafts them.

Pre-order is how our atelier makes only what’s truly wanted. 

We work with premium full-grain leathers sourced through long-standing relationships. Every hide is selected by hand for quality, grain, and character; never for speed.

Our western and knee-high silhouettes pair naturally with dresses, denim, tailored trousers, and midi skirts. For a more editorial look, layer with slip dresses or oversized knits. Each product page includes styling notes.

Most Stivali styles run true to US sizing with specific fit notes on each product page. Western boots typically fit true to size. Slip-ons, mules, and sneakers may run slightly large — the Size Guide has style-specific guidance.

Clean with a damp cloth, condition with a neutral leather cream every 2–3 months, and store with cedar shoe trees. Avoid prolonged water exposure, and if so, let dry naturally away from direct heat.

Our two retail locations: Stivali New York Flagship in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY (41 Broadway), and our Dallas showroom in Knox-Henderson, Dallas, TX. Both carry current collections, previous styles, and in-person fittings.
